O.K. so, I was quite nervous to teach today. It has been several YEARS since I last taught Relief Society class... There was so much information on Preparedness, that I just didn't have time to talk about, that I wanted to share. I didn't have time to get more comments from others in the class about what they do 'easy steps' for others to follow. I hope that I was able to say something that helped at least one other sister. I need to move on to my next Food Storage item now that I got salt this past month. That food storage on $5.00 a week plan might take me a bit longer, I sort of feel like I need more than just one week to think about the actual item i need to get, and then I might actually remember to pick up that extra thing to add to my food storage. I am excited to start just doing something! I really feel like I need to work on BABY STEPS, like I said in my lesson today. I just need someone to hold my hand and lead me in the right direction. The idea of doing the whole years supply has always felt daunting to me... where do I start?!? I'll never be able to do all of that. But the Three Month Pantry seems way more DOable to me... Maybe everything I said today has been said countless other times in my life, but it just has never hit me before like it has hit me this past week (month) as I prepared for this lesson.
Well, since I was up till 3 a.m. the past two nights trying to get all my thoughts together for the lesson, I suppose I need to get some sleep tonight. Hopefully I'll be able to get some rest this week, so that whenever M goes into labor I'll have plenty of reserve energy to be able to help her in whatever ways will help her the most.
