C- Cake or Pie: What Flavor??? I love cake, Lemon Merangue and key Lime Pie, yummy, and a few fruit pies... Strawberry is probably my favorite, I love sweets...
D- Day of choice: Sat... I know I can usually sleep in as there aren't too many actual commitments, noone to get off to school, or appointments to keep.
E- Essentials: running water is a favorite of mine... I hate dry lips, so lip stuff of some sort, I have allergies so tissues are pretty important.
F- Favorite color: I guess purple - I used to love writing in purple ink, back when I wrote many many long snail mail letters!

M- Married date: June 20th, 1989 - almost 20 years - I can't imagine my life without my hubby

O- Oranges or Apples-I like good oranges cold and sliced... I love apples, plain, with salt, with peanut butter, with caramel, candied, with fruit dip, in cobbler, as Sauce. They are just so versatile!
P- Phobias or fears- I am a bit germ phobic, I fear not raising my family well enough, and losing my children.
Q- Quotes: "You can always find someone better off than you and you can always find someone worse off than you. So be happy with who you are." That's from my mom. I heard it a lot growing up. Oh Karen I like this one too! I wish my kids would get this idea too!
R- Reason to smile- Seeing a new life come into this world! that moment is so amazing, o.k. I often cry, but they are tears of Joy and Amazement at the awesomeness of it all! Such a perfect little person, created by God! How can you see that and not believe in God?!

Z-Favorite Zoo animal: most all of them! They are all amazing - seeing God's creatures and trying to imagine all that goes into creating all those amazing things. How can anyone think that they just just evolved from the goo in a swamp somehow... I just don't understand that!

Tag, Your'e It!

I saw this on Sharon's blog and thought I'd do it one day... so here it is.

How long have you been together? Just over 20 years, but Bill was one of my best friends for close to two years before that.
How long did you date? Well... if you ask my hubby, it was longer, but we didn't really "DATE" until after we were engaged! Weird I know! We were engaged just over a year, since he was a cadet at West Point and you can't be married while at West Point... soooo it was a long year waiting until we could get married!
How old is he? 40
Who eats more? I'd like to say him, he should be eating a huge number of calories to not lose weight now that he isn't supposed to eating carbs or sugar, that is very hard for him.
Who said "I love you" first? HIM! I was in serious denial! :-)
Who is taller? 6' 2 " and I used to be 5' 5", the girls think I'm shrinking since Rebekah measures at 5'5" and thinks she's taller than me! Amanda is catching up at 5'4" and Sariah will be past us all in another year I'm sure!
Who sings better? me, it did help him when we figured out he was a base not a tenor though.
Who is smarter? him
Who does the laundry? I do mostly, the older two girls do their own for the past couple of years, but I'm ALWAYS doing laundry, so I do a load or two or three daily. When he does them he does everything in one day and is 'done', but for me... there's ALWAYS more!!!
Who does the dishes? the older 4 girls each take a week. (it is not easy but that is supposed to be their job. Bill does them on Sunday so an empty sink gets turned over
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? I do currently, but it depends on the house and room... he sleeps closest to the bathroom, since he gets up earlir than I do generally.
Who pays the bills? He does... unfortunately i just spend the money
Who mows the lawn? The kids like the riding lawnmower, otherwise Bill does it.
Who cooks dinner? me, one of the girls, Kellogs and General Mills, way too often! ;-) There was a time when Bill came home from living 5 months in the desert durring the Gulf War, that he was so thankful to have the ability to cook and wash clothes, without scrubbing them in a bucket of dirty water, that he did lots of laundry and LOTS of cooking! It was great! He cooked a braided strombolie bread one time for a labor day cookout shortly after he got home, in just over an hour, (o.k. prepared, then let raise on the way to the get together, and then put it in their oven.), It was fantastic! He didn't know bread should be difficult to make!
Who is more stubborn? I guess I should say me... Bill has had to give in to me and my emotional mess far too many times in our life together. Sorry Honey, but thanks, I love you!
Who kissed who first? He kissed me! Remember? I was in denial!
Who asked who out? He asked me to a formal dance, and if you really wanted to count that as our first date, then we dated about 3 1/2 months before we got engaged.
Who is more sensitive? He's very sensitive to certain things. Patriotic things, his kids, family. But I'm much more emotional. I don't know if that is sensitive or not. But otherwise it's me anyway.
Who has more friends? possibly me. I follow my friendships, and work at them, try to keep in touch. He can pick up with an old friend he hasn't talked to in YEARS and be totally cool.
Who has more siblings? I have 4 brothers, three older and one younger. Bill was raised as an only child, but actually has 6 older siblings from his mom's first marriage.
Who wears the pants in the relationship? I don't know... I don't like this question, and I plead the 5th.
Who are you tagging? Whoever wants sto answer all these silly questions. It did help me come up with a post today. I haven't felt like I had anything to post this week. So know you know some odd facts about me. Next time it will be that silly list of 100 things... Not like any of you will want to bother reading all of that!
